HK620 technical reference: a continuous process combining edge banding, grooving and cutting for long door-trim components.
The equipment was developed around a production problem: short or narrow trim components can become difficult to feed, press and position consistently after they have already been cut to final length. HK620 uses a different process sequence—complete edge banding while the material remains continuous, then groove it, and cut it to length at the end of the line.

Process Concept
- Edge banding: apply and press the edge material while the workpiece is still in a longer, more stable form.
- Grooving: perform the required groove operation after the edge-banding stage.
- Cutting: divide the processed material into the required component lengths at the end of the sequence.
Why the Process Order Matters
Cutting long material into short pieces before edge banding can increase the number of handling, positioning and feeding steps. A continuous process route is intended to reduce repeated repositioning and make production control easier. Actual suitability still depends on the workpiece cross-section, substrate, surface material, edge material, adhesive system, groove design and required output.

Important Classification Note
